A palace from around 1570 in Kowary-Radociny, rebuilt in 1861 in the pseudo-Gothic style, today a holiday home.
Radociny Palace stands in the district of Kowary bearing the same name, in the Jelenia Góra Valley at the foot of the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains). It was built around 1570 as a knightly residence, and owes its present, pseudo-Gothic appearance to a rebuilding in 1861.
After the pseudo-Gothic rebuilding, the palace underwent a further modernisation in 1913. In the 1960s a holiday centre of the Institute of Nuclear Research was set up there, and the building still serves as a holiday home today. The whole complex, the palace together with the park, is entered in the heritage register under number A/5509/256 from 1951.
The palace is surrounded by an extensive park with oaks, spruces, lime trees and elms, alongside which grow exotic species of conifers as well. The park has a separate entry in the heritage register, distinct from the building itself.
