A wooded peak of the Eastern Ridge of the Bardzkie Mountains, about 5.4 km south of Bardo, at 675-747 metres above sea level (sources differ).
Sarniak (formerly also called Jeleniec or Hirsch-Koppe) is a peak of the Eastern Ridge of the Bardzkie Mountains in the Central Sudetes, about 5.4 km south of Bardo, in Ząbkowice County.
Sources differ on the height of this hill: a field measurement gives 675 metres above sea level, while encyclopaedic works give values from 693 to 747 metres above sea level. The summit itself is not clearly marked in the terrain.
The whole summit and slopes are covered by extensive forest, mainly spruce. The hill is built of Lower Carboniferous greywackes and clay shales.
Through this part of the Eastern Ridge runs the blue trail, leading from Bardo through Kłodzka Góra to the Kłodzko Pass.
Closest, about a kilometre away, lies Kłodzka Góra.
On its summit stands an observation tower.
In the same area rises Szeroka Góra as well.
