A baroque palace from 1710 in Siciny in the Niechlów municipality, built to a design by architect Martin Frantz for the Cistercian abbey of Lubiąż.
Siciny Palace stands in the village of Siciny, in the Niechlów municipality, in Góra County. It is a baroque residence from 1710, built to a design by architect Martin Frantz for the Cistercian abbey of Lubiąż.
The building is two-storey, with an entrance leading through a centrally placed staircase. Two heraldic cartouches have survived on the façade: one bearing the coat of arms of the Cistercian abbots of the Lubiąż monastery, the other the personal coat of arms of the abbot. Frescoes by Christian Bentum have survived in the interiors.
During the era of the People's Republic of Poland (PRL), a book and press club operated in the building. The palace is entered in the heritage register under number A/3728/775, dated 5 October 1960. The available sources do not state who currently manages the building or whether its interiors are open to visitors - this is worth checking directly with the Niechlów municipal office.
