Footbridge and cycle bridge from 1928 over the Oława in Wrocław, linking Wilczy Kąt with Siedlec.
Siedlecka Footbridge is a crossing for pedestrians and cyclists over the Oława river in Wrocław, linking the Wilczy Kąt and Siedlec districts. It was built in 1928, and its surroundings are marked by Wilcza Street, Młoda Street and Krzywa Grobla.
The footbridge's supporting structure consists of two five-span steel truss girders, whose upper chord has a parabolic shape. The walkway is fixed to the lower chord of the girders, and its surface is wooden.
On the right bank of the river lies Rakowiecki Forest, and on the left lie the grounds of the Wilczy Kąt district, allotment gardens, and the PZ Cussons Polska plant, formerly known as Pollena. The footbridge has for decades been the shorter pedestrian link between these two sides of the Oława.
A dozen or so minutes' journey separates the footbridge from Wrocław's biggest attractions: the Wrocław Zoo with the Africarium, the Centennial Hall and the Japanese Garden in Szczytnicki Park. Closer to the centre, over the Oder, also stands the historic Grunwaldzki Bridge.
