A small, wooded hill in the Śnieżnik Massif on the boundary of the Śnieżnik Landscape Park, with no marked trail to the summit.
Sośnik is a small hill in the Śnieżnik Massif, in the Sudetes, within the village of Nowa Wieś in Kłodzko County. Sources differ on its height: one describes the whole elevation as 580-690 m above sea level, another gives 707 m above sea level for its summit point.
The hill is built of gneiss rocks, typical of the bedrock in this part of the Sudetes. The slopes are covered by a beech-spruce forest of the lower montane zone, the vegetation belt typical of the medium elevations of the Sudetes.
Sośnik lies on a side ridge that drops steeply towards the upper valley of the Nysa Kłodzka, between headwater streams, including the Cieszyca stream, below the neighbouring hill of Gawlik. The boundary of the Śnieżnik Landscape Park, which covers the whole massif along with the Śnieżnik Kłodzki Nature Reserve and the area's highest peak, Mount Śnieżnik, runs along its foot.
Sources do not mention any marked hiking trail leading to Sośnik itself. It is a side hill, lying off the main routes that cross the massif, for example towards Mały Śnieżnik.
