A late Gothic church from around 1500 in the Zabobrze district, a parish church since 1972, with baroque furnishings in the old part.
St Adalbert's Church in Jelenia Góra was built around 1500 in the late Gothic style. It is located in the Zabobrze district, on Stanisława Moniuszki street.
The church was thoroughly restored between 1964 and 1970. At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s a nave was added, which today forms the main liturgical part of the church.
The furnishings of the old part of the church are baroque: the main altar, the pulpit, the organ, wooden sculptures and oil paintings. A classicist sandstone font from the 19th century has also survived.
Since 1972 the church has served as a Catholic parish church.
About 1.5 kilometres away stands the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
A little further on you can visit the Castle Gate Tower.
The Cyprian Kamil Norwid Theatre also operates in the town.
