A historic palace of the von Gaffron family from 1840 in Stanica, in the Przeworno municipality, listed in the heritage register together with its park.
Stanica Palace is a historic residence built in 1840 in Stanica, a hamlet belonging to the Przeworno municipality, in Strzelin County.
The palace was built for Baron Hermann von Gaffron, director of the Silesian Credit Institute, who owned the village in 1840. Thirty years later, in 1870, the estate's owner was Theodor von Gaffron, an Imperial Count and royal chamberlain. The von Gaffron family also owned estates at the same time in the nearby villages of Konary and Sarby.
The palace, together with its surrounding park, forms a palace complex listed in the heritage register: the building itself under number 270/918/WŁ (entered on 31 December 1982), and the park under number 269/962/WŁ (entered on 27 December 1983). Available sources do not state the building's current technical condition, nor whether it is open to visitors, so it's worth checking this on site or at the Przeworno municipal office before a visit.
Several similar residences stand in this part of Strzelin County and neighbouring municipalities, including the palace in Jagielno and the palace in Samborowice. Fans of views can also head to the nearby Gromnik with its observation tower.
