About Sulica

A summit 942 metres above sea level in the Lasocki Ridge in the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains), with yellow and green trails and a stone monument to a teacher.

Sulica is a summit in the Lasocki Ridge in the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains), at a height of 942 metres above sea level (some measurements give 946 m). The mountain is built of metamorphic rocks - gneisses and mica schists with intercalations of amphibolites and crystalline limestone.

Vegetation and access

The summit and slopes are covered by upper montane spruce forest. Two roads with characteristic hairpin bends climb the slopes, linking the mountain with the Kowarska Pass and the Okraj Pass.

Hiking trails

Two marked trails cross Sulica: the yellow one, running from the Kowarska Pass to the Okraj Pass, and the green one, leading from Lubawka through Rozdroże Kowarskie to Rozdroże pod Sulicą.

Monument on the summit

On the mountain stands a stone with an inscription commemorating the teacher Adolf Roth (1874-1927), who died at this spot.
