About Świątnicki Bridge

A road bridge from 1998 over the River Zielona, along ulica Świątnicka in Wrocław.

Świątnicki Bridge is a road bridge over the River Zielona, along ulica Świątnicka in the eastern part of Wrocław.

Construction

The current structure was built in 1998 as a single-span crossing. The load-bearing system consists of five girders made of steel I-beams, and the deck is made of wood. The bridge is 13.6 metres long, with a total width of 10.66 metres, of which 6 metres is the roadway and the rest is taken up by two pavements of 1.25 metres each. The maximum permitted vehicle weight for crossing the bridge is 30 tonnes.

Practical information

  • Location: ulica Świątnicka, near the Świątniki and Księże Małe estates, Wrocław
  • The bridge crosses the River Zielona and carries road traffic
  • It is a small, functional crossing rather than a historic monument to visit - it is worth combining a walk across the bridge with a stroll around the surrounding estates
