Szańcowa is a hill 208.3 metres above sea level in the Niemcza-Strzelin Hills, in the Sudeten Foreland, near Gościęcice in Strzelin County.
On the summit stands an observation tower fitted out inside an old water tower, next to a small grove. The place is set up for rest: there is a gazebo and benches here, so the climb up the hill ends with a stop, not just a point on the trail.
From the summit you can see the Strzelin Mountains, the Ślęża Massif and the Silesian Lowland, and in good visibility also the Wrocław skyline.
