A peak of the Karkonosze Foothills (647 m above sea level) above Jagniątków in Jelenia Góra, on the blue and yellow trails.
Trzmielak is a peak in the western part of the Karkonosze Foothills, rising to 647 metres above sea level above lower Jagniątków, within the boundaries of Jelenia Góra. It lies on a ridge running from Grzybowiec in a north-easterly direction, next to the neighbouring elevations of Sobiesz and Ostrosz.
The elevation, like the whole of this section of the ridge, is built of Karkonosze granite. It is covered by lower montane forest, and scattered granite rock outcrops occur in the terrain.
A blue hiking trail runs across the peak from Sobieszów to Grzybowiec, and a yellow trail runs along the western slope from Piechowice towards Grzybowiec. The route passes close to Chojnik Castle and Chojnik. Wikipedia does not describe a view from the summit of Trzmielak - the tree stand screens the panorama, and viewpoints are better sought on nearby rock outcrops.
