Water Recreation Centre in Świebodzice

The Water Recreation Centre (Wodne Centrum Rekreacji) is an indoor swimming pool on Mieszka Starego Street in Świebodzice, run by the municipal sports and recreation centre.

Pools and slide

The venue has a sports pool measuring 25 by 12.5 metres and 2 metres deep, and a recreational pool measuring 11 by 14 metres, 1.2 metres deep. A paddling pool 0.6 metres deep has been prepared for the youngest visitors. A 60-metre slide leads from the recreational pool, exiting outside the building.

Saunas and relaxation zone

The centre has four saunas: Finnish, bio, steam and infrared, after which you can cool down in a separate zone with a pool. Guests also have access to two jacuzzis with water-air massage and a graduation tower. The venue holds up to 180 people at a time.

History

The pool was put into use on 3 September 2004, and underwent a thorough refurbishment in 2017.

Activities

Swimming lessons, fitness classes and aqua aerobics are run here, and the centre also organises sports camps.

A few kilometres away lies the Książ palace and park complex.

Next to it stands Stary Książ Castle.
