Two historic water towers at the former railway station in Lwówek Śląski - a brick one from the 19th century and a reinforced concrete one from before 1925.
Two historic water towers, remnants of the former railway infrastructure, stand on Towarowa Street in Lwówek Śląski.
The older of the two towers, built of characteristic red-and-yellow brick, was erected in the third quarter of the 19th century. It has three storeys and an octagonal plan, and a working pump has survived inside it.
The second tower, made of reinforced concrete, was built before 1925. It was built on a circular plan, with a shaft widening towards the top, and its tank holds 20,000 litres of water.
After 1950 most of the surrounding railway infrastructure began to fall into ruin, though next to the towers there still stands a well-kept residential building, where railway workers used to live. Both towers are entered in the municipal register of heritage monuments.
