A wooded peak of the Karkonosze Foothills (707 m above sea level) east of Borowice, built of Karkonosze granite.
Wilczak is a peak in the Karkonosze Foothills, east of Borowice, rising to 707 metres above sea level. It lies between the Czerwonka valley to the north and the Jelenia Struga valley to the south, and its massif is built of Karkonosze granite.
The whole massif is covered by coniferous forest, so the peak does not offer an open panorama - it is more a destination for a walk through wooded slopes than a viewpoint. Its position between two valleys means the approach from every side leads through stream ravines.
Wilczak lies at the heart of the Jelenia Góra Valley, close to the region's attractions. Less than three kilometres away stands the Wang Church, and at a similar distance is the Podgórna Waterfall. A few kilometres to the east rises Chojnik Castle, and the highest peak of the Karkonosze, Śnieżka, is visible in the distance from the region's hiking trails.
