About Wykroty Palace

The ruin of a 19th-century palace in Bolesławiec County, surrounded by a park with traces of a 13th-14th-century stronghold.

Wykroty Palace, in the Nowogrodziec municipality, Bolesławiec County, has survived to our times only as a ruin. Of the former residence built in the 19th century only the walls without a roof remain, surrounded by a park that still holds traces of much older settlement.

The ruin of the palace

The palace was built in the 19th century. Wikipedia gives neither an exact date nor the name of the founder, describing it only as a building in ruin. The interior is inaccessible and dangerous, so the building can only be viewed from the outside.

The park and the stronghold

The palace is surrounded by a park, in which there also stands a garden pavilion and a stronghold dated to the 13th-14th century - a trace of much earlier settlement on this site. The whole park complex, together with the stronghold and the pavilion, was entered on the heritage register under number A/889/891/J, with an entry from 23 February 1987.
