A 17th-century palace remodelled after 1820, with an eight-column portico, surrounded by a park laid out after 1830, in the village of Żelazów.
Żelazów Palace stands in a village in the Strzegom municipality, in Świdnica County. Built in the 17th century, it was thoroughly remodelled after 1820 - at that time it gained an eight-column portico at the front.
A park laid out after 1830 surrounds the palace. Within its grounds also stands the gardener's house, dating from around 1800 - older than the park itself.
The palace, the park and the gardener's house are separately entered in the heritage register.
Sources do not state who currently uses the palace or whether it is open for visiting. It is worth checking this information before a planned visit, for example at the Strzegom municipal office.
A few kilometres away, the Gross-Rosen Museum in Rogoźnica operates, and in Strzegom stands the Basilica of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.
