About this event
Some conversations start with trifles and end where people least expect to look: inside themselves. “Blue Shrimps” is an intimate duel of two temperaments, two generations, and two views of the world. Just before a performance of “Hamlet,” two actresses meet in a theatre dressing room: a seasoned star and a young apprentice of the craft. In a conversation full of humour and sharp comebacks, they discover how much they have in common. The line between life and theatre begins to blur, and the roles of Gertrude and Ophelia become a mirror of their own experiences.
Behind the jokes lies emotion, and behind the stage lightness lie questions about time, fulfilment, and the price of dreams. This is a play about women who have more in common than what divides them. About a life that does not always follow the script. And about how the most important roles are often written by experience itself.
