“The Shelter That Ceased to Exist” is a production by the Cyprian Kamil Norwid Theatre in Jelenia Góra, a theatrical adaptation of Sławek Gortych’s novel. The performance can be seen on 9 November 2026 at 7:00 p.m. on the Large Stage of the MUZA Cultural Centre in Lubin.
The story is set in the Karkonosze Mountains and combines Karkonosze legends, regional history, and a crime mystery. It is a multi-threaded narrative in which the past intertwines with the present and seemingly forgotten events resurface. The production features striking visuals and has received good reviews since its premiere on 24 April 2026.

Practical information: the performance runs 150 minutes, including the intermission. Seats in row XVIII in the Large Hall are less comfortable, as the distance to the row in front is small and the seat backs are shorter.
