The play follows a woman and a man after many years together. Their relationship is portrayed through three couples, shown at three different stages of life. The youngest couple is in the euphoric moments of falling in love and romantic confessions that lead to a wedding. A river, whose current sweeps away everything in its path, symbolizes the passing of time.
