A production directed by Lena Frankiewicz on the Main Stage of the Marii i Edmunda Wiercińskich Wrocław Contemporary Theatre, based on a text by Jiří Havelka. The author drew on his own experiences and notes as a tenant in a Prague apartment building. The text seems extremely funny until we realize how true it is.
The story begins with a tenants' meeting where key decisions are to be made about water billing, renovation work, and the sale of the attic. The participants' conflicting views block even the simplest resolutions, and the atmosphere grows more tense by the minute. The meeting becomes a grotesque cross-section of contemporary society, consumed by complexes, prejudices, and stereotypical thinking.
