“PRZYJACIELE / Le Mensonge” at Teatr Garnizon Sztuki

“PRZYJACIELE / Le Mensonge” is a comedy by French playwright Florian Zeller, staged by Teatr Garnizon Sztuki. Three acting duos take the stage, who are also real married couples: Agata Wątróbska and Janusz Chabior, Zuzanna Grabowska and Paweł Domagała, and Agnieszka Głowacka and Piotr Głowacki. As announced, their shared experiences blend with the characters' emotions.

Two friendly couples meet for dinner over a glass of wine, in good spirits. The conversation turns to infidelity and the question of whether one must always tell the truth or whether a lie is sometimes better. Gradually, trust, loyalty and a sense of security begin to crumble, and the characters no longer know who is right and who is hiding something.

Zeller shows how thin the line is between a protective lie and a destructive half-truth. He combines humor with psychological depth and explores the fragility of trust in relationships. The announcement also cites research according to which most people lie 1-2 times a day, most often to protect themselves or someone close. The premiere took place on 21 November 2025 at Teatr Garnizon Sztuki in Warsaw.
