“How to Live Without Going Crazy” is a film being screened at Kino Lot in Jelenia Góra. Its heroine is Anka, who at first seems to have a successful life: a loving husband, great children, a good job and a fantastic apartment in the city centre.
Soon, however, everything falls apart. Her husband cheats, she loses her job, the children are moody, and a bailiff takes an interest in the apartment. Anka faces a simple choice: she can lie down and die of despair, or start living on her own terms, as she pleases and “at full blast”.
To start afresh, she has to pull herself together, fend off her overprotective mother, come to terms with her children and find a new idea for herself. Ideas are not in short supply. The recipe for the “new Anka” is a handful of courage, plenty of self-belief, a pinch of independence and an ocean of humour.
