“I Am Rocky” (Subtitled 2D) – Premiere

“I Am Rocky” is a subtitled (2D) film screening as a premiere at Bogatyński Ośrodek Kultury (Sala Widowiska) in Bogatynia. The screening takes place on November 20, 2026, at 5:45 PM. The story covers the origins of the Rocky film and Sylvester Stallone.

The story begins in New York in the mid-1970s. Sylvester Stallone is then an unknown actor barely making ends meet. One day he writes a screenplay about a boxer from a poor Philadelphia neighborhood. In this story he sees not only a chance for success, but also a reflection of his own life.

No one, however, believes he should play the lead role. Stallone turns down successive high offers from producers and stubbornly fights for the right to play the hero he created. He risks his career, his money, and his family's future. It is a story of determination, courage, and faith in oneself. These qualities led to a film that became a worldwide phenomenon, earning 10 Oscar nominations and 3 statuettes.
