Mayday – The Bigamist

“Mayday – The Bigamist” is a farce by Ray Cooney. Jackie Smith is a London taxi driver with two husbands, neither of whom knows about the other. Her life is perfectly planned, right down to the timetable, until one accident brings the police into the picture. From then on, things get complicated. Secrets, lies, mix-ups and increasingly absurd situations pile up. Can Jackie keep her double life going? The show moves at a breakneck pace with plenty of twists, and its backdrop is the 1970s, with analogue phones and vinyl records. It has been performed over 200 times.
