“Recepta na Szczęście” is a musical romantic comedy with live music, combining a comedy play with a concert. The play, script, and music were written and directed by Aleksandra Nieśpielak. The production was created by O! La! La! Teatr.
The action takes place in a doctor's office, where three generations of women meet. Kasia is looking for love and has only just begun her adult life in a big city. Kleo is a middle-aged woman, abandoned by her husband and desperate. Gina is a senior who does not like being alone. She recently joined the “Dorosłych Singli” club, where she was voted “Girl of the Year”. Each of them has her own needs, dreams of love, and plans, and the doctor is more of a psychologist and confidant to them than a physician. Doctor Kazimierz can heal not only the body but also the soul, and he is devoted to his patients. A mysterious patient also appears in the office: a country-man who lives in the countryside and loves nature. The clash of their worlds stirs up a storm in the office and leads to an unexpected ending. The subtitle refers to the history of the Polish joke. The show features funny mix-ups, songs performed live, and dance elements. Audiences will witness the birth of a great love, but also the lovers' first quarrel.
