“Theatrical Comedy” is a play about Adam, whose life is governed by a fixed routine: home, work, home, work, and now and then some controlled entertainment. The cast includes:
This orderly arrangement stops working when Adam’s wife leaves. An intrusive door-to-door salesman and a fortune-teller turn up in the apartment, and Filip, a childhood schoolmate, unexpectedly visits him. A representative of the Adoption Centre also knocks on the door, a visit Adam has completely forgotten.
The hero’s previously calm life fills with innuendo, gossip and abstract insinuations, all covered by a veil of “normality.” How this tangle of strange events ends, audiences will find out at the Dolnobrzeski Ośrodek Kultury.
