Weiser | Filmowy Wałbrzych | DKF (Film Discussion Club)

The film is based on the well-known novel by Gdańsk writer Paweł Huelle, which has been translated into many languages. It is a story steeped in nostalgia and mystery about a group of children fascinated by Dawid Weiser, their peer who seems to have supernatural, magical powers. Gaining charismatic control over his friends, Dawid draws them into a conspiracy that ends in the explosion of a homemade bomb. Dawid disappears without a trace, and no investigation can explain what happened to him... Although these events took place many years ago, they left such a deep mark on the characters' psyches that they still live with them today, still under the spell of the mystery of Weiser Dawidek.
