dir. Michał Marczak runtime: 108’ production: Poland 2026 language: Polish genre: documentary Audio description available via the Kino Dostępne app. Daniel did not hear his sixteen-year-old son Krzysztof leave the house early one morning. He didn't know what drew the boy to the bridge over the Vistula, only that he had last been seen there. A CCTV camera caught him, and then, between one sweep of its lens and the next, Krzysiek vanished. There were two possibilities: either he jumped into the river or he quietly climbed down from the bridge. Since then, Daniel and his wife Agnieszka have lived in limbo, caught between desperate hope and paralyzing fear. Unable to wait passively for a breakthrough in the police investigation, which grows less likely by the day, Daniel builds a boat fitted with cameras and drones, determined to explore the dark depths of the river himself. This is the beginning of a search that will consume him entirely. Day after day he combs the Vistula, constantly developing new tools and techniques. Other families trapped in the same abyss of uncertainty, endlessly seeking answers, begin reaching out to him. The long, solitary hours on the boat become Daniel's chance to reckon with his life before Krzysztof disappeared. As months pass, his pain only deepens. The father struggles with constant tension between his unrelenting drive to keep searching and the painful reality that irreversible loss will change his life forever.
