A historic house-shaped chapel from 1826 in the Słupiec district of Nowa Ruda, rebuilt in the late 19th century.
The Chapel on Kasztanowa Street in Nowa Ruda is a small house-shaped chapel in the Słupiec district, built in 1826 by Józef Niesel.
The chapel was built in 1826 by Józef Niesel. In the late 19th century the building was rebuilt by Niggl, who gave it the shape it has retained to this day.
The building has a gabled roof and stands side-on to the course of Kasztanowa Street. On the rear wall there is a medallion with a relief of the face of Jesus, and below it a stone bench made of sandstone. A parallel wall of red sandstone shields a grave located behind the chapel from the road.
The chapel is listed on the register of immovable heritage monuments of Nowa Ruda. The sources do not state whether services are currently held there - this is worth checking directly with the parish covering Słupiec.
