A church in Witoszów Dolny built in 1268, with a Gothic portal, a Renaissance porch and defensive loopholes preserved in the attic.
The Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Witoszów Dolny belongs to the western Świdnica deanery of the Diocese of Świdnica. The church stands in Witoszów Dolny in Świdnica County and combines architectural layers from the Middle Ages to the Baroque.
The church was built in 1268. It was rebuilt in the 15th century, and in the first half of the 16th century it received a vault. At the end of the 16th century a Renaissance porch was added, and in the first half of the 17th century the building was raised for defensive purposes - loopholes from that period have survived in the attic. In 1846 the church was extended, and renovations were carried out in 1963-1976.
It is a single-nave church with a narrower, rectangular chancel. On the south side, a Gothic portal with rich floral decoration has survived in the nave wall. The interior is filled with Baroque furnishings from the early 18th century.
