The Cyprian Kamil Norwid Municipal Public Library is a local government cultural institution in Świdnica, with its main seat on Franciszkańska Street 18 and three branches in the town.
The library's main seat is housed in a historic building on Franciszkańska Street. Professional oversight of its work is provided by the Tadeusz Mikulski Regional and Municipal Public Library in Wrocław, while on behalf of the town the library is managed by the Mayor of Świdnica.
Besides a classic book collection, the institution offers multimedia collections, board games and periodicals, as well as information and bibliographic services. Its offer includes large-format collections, a vinyl record collection, e-books available through the Legimi, IBUK Libra and Academica services, and services for the blind. On site there is a book drop box for returns outside opening hours, and part of the collection is also made available in outdoor libraries.
The library organises literary festivals, including iKROPKA and Góry Literatury, as well as discussion clubs, workshops, author meetings and exhibitions, and recurring activities for various age groups.
