About Gniewosz

A peak in the Bystrzyckie Mountains at 853 m above sea level, with a blue-marked trail from Międzylesie to Przełęcz Spalona.

Gniewosz is a peak in the Bystrzyckie Mountains, in Kłodzko County, rising to 853 metres above sea level near the village of Gniewoszów.

Location in the Bystrzyckie Mountains

The mountain lies on the European watershed, dividing two river valleys, between Przełęcz nad Porębą and Czerniec. The Głownia stream rises on its eastern slope. The summit is covered with spruce forest, while lower on the slopes there are mountain meadows and pastures.

Trail and road across the summit

A blue-marked tourist trail runs across Gniewosz from Międzylesie to Przełęcz Spalona. The Sudetes Motorway also runs along the eastern slope, so the area around the summit is not deserted even away from the walking trail. The sources do not describe the view from the summit or a viewpoint here.

Surroundings

Within a few kilometres lie further peaks of the Bystrzyckie Mountains, including Czerniec and Jedlnik, and a little further away the more highly rated Jagodna and the ruins of Szczerba Castle. Towards Długopole-Zdrój you can reach the Spa Park.
