A steel, riveted arch bridge over the Nysa Kłodzka from 1882-1883, formerly the Horse Bridge.
The Iron Bridge (Most Żelazny) in Kłodzko is a steel, riveted arch bridge spanning the Nysa Kłodzka river. It was built between 1882 and 1883 and still carries road traffic today, connecting the left-bank and right-bank parts of the town.
The bridge was erected to expand Kłodzko towards the south and east, on the site of an earlier crossing in the same place.
It was originally called the Horse Bridge, after the square by which it stood. Around 1938 it was renamed in honour of a local writer, becoming the Hermann Stehr Brücke.
After the flood of the millennium in 1997, the bridge was modernised and reopened to road traffic.
Close to the bridge stands Kłodzko Fortress, and right next to it the Underground Tourist Route and the Museum of the Kłodzko Land. Within walking distance is also the Franciscan monastery complex.
