About Jakubów Palace

A ruined 17th-century palace in the village of Jakubów in the Radwanice municipality, burned down in February 1945 as the front passed through.

Jakubów Palace is a historic monument built in the 17th century, in the village of Jakubów in Polkowice County. In February 1945, as the front passed through, the palace burned down, and its ruins still stand today.

Condition of the site

The palace has remained a permanent ruin since its destruction in 1945. The Radwanice municipality, in whose territory Jakubów lies, confirms that the building, burned down at that time, was never rebuilt. A similar fate, destruction in the last months of the war and later abandonment, befell many Lower Silesian residences whose ruins still stand in nearby villages today.
