Jarnołtów Bridge

Wrocław
About Jarnołtów Bridge

A wood-and-steel bridge from 1993 over the Bystrzyca river in the Jarnołtów district of western Wrocław.

Jarnołtów Bridge crosses the Bystrzyca river in the western part of Wrocław, in the Jarnołtów district, along Jarnołtowska Street. It is a modest, wood-and-steel crossing with no architectural ambitions, but with the character of a place known to few Wrocław residents from outside this district.

A structure from the 1990s

The current bridge was built in 1993 and has three spans with a total length of 18 metres. The load-bearing girders are steel, while the 4.5-metre-wide deck, its surface and the railings are made of wood. The permitted vehicle weight for crossing the bridge is 5 tonnes, which limits traffic to cars and light vans.

Jarnołtów on both sides of the river

The Jarnołtów district lies on the right, eastern bank of the Bystrzyca, and the bridge is one of the connections between this part of the city and the rest of Wrocław. The area has a rural character, with detached housing and green areas stretching along the river.

Nearby

A few kilometres away lie Strachowicki Park and Złotnicki Park, good destinations for a longer walk or a bike ride around this part of Wrocław. Families with children will find it closer to Pod Topolami Stable.
