About Konradówka Palace

A Renaissance palace from 1701 in the village of Konradówka in the municipality of Chojnów, in poor technical condition.

Konradówka Palace stands in the village of Konradówka in the municipality of Chojnów, on the River Skora. It is a Renaissance residence from the early 18th century, today in fairly poor technical condition despite being entered in the heritage register.

History of construction

The palace was built in 1701 for Heinrich Daniel von Liedlau, who lived from 1641 to 1721 and served in his youth as a courtier to Duke John George II of Saxony. The building was erected in the Renaissance style, and cartouches with the coats of arms of the owner and his wife have survived above the entrance portal.

Current condition

The building underwent alterations in the 20th century and has not been well maintained since, as a result of which it is today in poor technical condition. The sources do not state whether the palace is open to visitors - this should be checked directly with the Chojnów municipal office before a visit. Besides the palace itself, the complex also includes an outbuilding and a landscape park with a tree-lined avenue, both entered in the heritage register.

Practical information

  • The palace lies in the village of Konradówka, in the municipality of Chojnów, in Legnica County, on the River Skora
  • Access is by local roads from Chojnów, where it is also worth seeing the Regional Museum in Chojnów and the Weavers' Tower
  • Access to the interior and the park grounds is to be confirmed with the municipal office - the site is private or in poor technical condition, and there is no basis for encouraging entry inside
