The oldest cultural institution in Dzierżoniów, a public library at Rynek 2 with audiobooks, board games and access to Legimi.
The Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński Municipal and County Public Library occupies a building at Rynek 2 in Dzierżoniów, right in the centre of town.
The institution is the oldest cultural institution in Dzierżoniów, established after the end of the Second World War. It bears the name of Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński, a poet of the Columbus Generation.
Besides its book collection, the library offers audiobooks, films and board games as well as computer workstations with access to the press. Readers also have free access to the Legimi platform with e-books and audiobooks online. The institution's structure includes separate departments: a reading room with the Multiteka and the Women's Zone, a children and youth department with the Toddler Library and the Fairy Tale Library, a lending library for adults and the "Błękitny Ptak" puppet theatre.
The Book Discussion Club and the Traveller's Club operate alongside the library, bringing together readers interested in talking together about literature and travel.
