A 19th-century castle in the Table Mountains, in the Szczytna municipality, currently closed to visitors.
Leśna Castle stands in the Central Sudetes, in the southern part of the Table Mountains, near the Szczytnik hill in the Szczytna municipality. The building is currently closed and inaccessible to visitors.
The building was erected between 1831 and 1837, of brick. It is entered in the register of immovable historic monuments, first in 1950 and again in 2005, as a castle in the Szczytna municipality. Wikipedia and the register of historic monuments give no further information about the interiors or the history of the building's individual owners.
The castle is currently not accessible to visitors. According to Wikipedia the castle is temporarily closed. Before planning a trip to this area, it is worth checking the current status of the building, as the available sources do not specify since when the castle has been closed, or whether reopening is planned.
A few kilometres away is the Museum of Papermaking in Duszniki-Zdrój.
Closer, in Polanica-Zdrój, is also the Spa Park in Polanica-Zdrój, a good destination for a walk, since the castle itself is currently closed.
