An artificially raised hill in the Grabiszyn-Grabiszynek district of Wrocław, formed from surplus soil from the construction of the railway ring line, today a place for walks and sledging.
Mała Sobótka is an artificially raised hill in the Grabiszyn-Grabiszynek district of Wrocław, also commonly known as Górka Skarbowców.
The elevation was formed at the end of the 19th century from surplus soil intended for building the embankment of the freight railway ring line. It was initiated by the Breslauer Verschönerungsverein, the Wrocław Beautification Society.
Since it was created, the hill has served recreational purposes: in summer it is a place for play and walks, in winter it serves as a sledging hill, and a ski slope used to operate here as well.
The park grounds of the area were entered in the heritage register on 12 September 2005 under number 570/A/05.
A few kilometres away, in the city centre, lies the Market Square with the nearby Wrocław Town Hall.
Families with children can plan a visit to the Wrocław Zoo.
In this part of the city it is also worth visiting Aquapark Wrocław.
