Miroszowice Palace

Pałacowa 29, Miroszowice
About Miroszowice Palace

A restored palace in Miroszowice with recreated ceramic facade decorations, today a residential building with apartments.

Miroszowice Palace stands on Pałacowa Street in the village, in the Lubin municipality, in Lubin County. Wikipedia states that it was built at the end of the 19th century, though some materials on the building itself point to an earlier, 18th-century origin with a later rebuilding - the exact date remains uncertain.

A former residence with a farmstead

The palace was part of a managed agricultural estate with a farmstead and a granary. Surviving metal elements of the building bear the initials of former owners. During the communist period the site was neglected and deteriorated without renovation.

Restoration and today's function

The palace underwent renovation, during which the ceramic decorations of the facade were recreated in cooperation with artists from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. The building was converted into residential apartments, today operating under a name referencing the Pałacowa Street address.

Entry in the heritage register

The building is entered in the heritage register under number A/3125/721/L, entered on 26 June 1986.

Practical information

  • Address: Pałacowa 29, Miroszowice, Lubin municipality, Lubin County.
  • Getting there: from Lubin, about 1.3 km from the Lubin Zoo.
  • What to expect: the site is today a private residential building (apartments), so mainly the facade can be seen from the outside - the accessibility of the interior is worth checking directly with the building's management.
