A former Evangelical church in Ludwikowice Kłodzkie converted into an art gallery and cultural events venue.
The Museum of the Owl Mountains Land in Ludwikowice Kłodzkie is housed in a former Evangelical church dedicated to the Blessing of the Lord, on Główna street, on voivodeship road no. 381. The building itself, erected in 1929-1930, is one of the main elements of the exhibition.
The church was built of brick and consecrated on 29 September 1930. It served a religious function until 1965, and in 1977-1989 housed a shop, then a warehouse and a joiner's workshop. In 2009 the building was entered in the heritage register (number A/1241), and in 2010-2011 it underwent renovation, after which a museum was set up in it.
The building houses the Gallery of Independent Art, opened in 2018. The venue runs cultural and educational activities: it organises lectures, meetings with authors, exhibitions, concerts and artistic performances. It also sometimes serves as a stage for the Mountains of Literature Festival (July) and the Reportage Festival (September).
