A Neo-Renaissance palace from 1866 in the village of Niedźwiedzice in the municipality of Chojnów, under restoration after post-war neglect.
Niedźwiedzice Palace is a Neo-Renaissance residence from the second half of the 19th century, in the village of Niedźwiedzice in the municipality of Chojnów. After years of neglect, the building has for some time been under restoration.
The palace was built in 1866 in the Neo-Renaissance style as a two-wing building with a tower, a carriage gateway and an arcaded loggia stretching across two storeys.
After the Second World War the palace was gradually neglected. Only since the end of the 20th century have works been carried out aiming to restore its former appearance, although the sources do not specify what stage the restoration is at today - this is worth verifying on site or with the Chojnów municipal office before a visit.
A landscape park laid out in the mid-19th century has survived around the building. It originally included woodland, meadows and two ponds, which gave the whole the character typical of landed-gentry residences of the time.
