About Oppersdorf Palace in Ołdrzychowice Kłodzkie

A baroque-classicist palace of the Oppersdorf family in Ołdrzychowice Kłodzkie, today a convent of the Sisters of St Francis of the Hospital, viewable from the outside.

Oppersdorf Palace stands in Ołdrzychowice Kłodzkie at 25 Kłodzka Street. The baroque residence from the 18th century was rebuilt in the neoclassical style in the 19th and 20th centuries and has retained its representative character as an ancestral seat to this day.

The Oppersdorf family and the sale of the palace

The palace belonged to the von Oppersdorf family. In 1929 Countess Zofia Gabriela Antonia von Oppersdorf sold the estate to the Sisters of St Francis of the Hospital, who took over the building for the needs of their congregation.

Mother house of the Franciscan Sisters

Today the palace houses the Mother House of the Sisters of St Francis of the Hospital. The building remains a convent seat, so visiting is limited to viewing from the outside.

Nearby

A kilometre from the palace stands the palace complex in Ołdrzychowice Kłodzkie, a second, separate residence in the village. Right next to it is the von Magnis Mausoleum, and within a few kilometres are the Gorzanów Castle and the Radochów Cave.
