Pietrzyków Palace

Pietrzyków 43, Pietrzyków
About Pietrzyków Palace

Pietrzyków Palace, created by rebuilding a 17th-century defensive structure and converted in the 18th century, with a surviving moat and bridge.

Pietrzyków Palace lies in the Dobromierz municipality, in Świdnica County. It was created by the rebuilding of an earlier defensive structure from the first half of the 17th century, and owes its present shape to a thorough conversion carried out in the mid-18th century.

From a defensive seat to a palace

The original building had a defensive character - traces of this layout survive to this day: a moat, earthen ramparts and a three-span bridge leading to the main entrance. In the mid-18th century the building was converted into a palace, and in the second half of the 19th century a landscape park was laid out around it.

Heritage protection

The palace was entered on the heritage register on 14 May 1981, and the surrounding park was placed under protection on 18 September 1981.
