The highest summit of the Eastern Ridge of the Kaczawa Mountains, with an IMGW weather radar on top.
Poręba is the highest summit of the Eastern Ridge of the Kaczawa Mountains, lying in its southern part, near the village of Pastewnik in Kamienna Góra County.
The Poręba massif is made up of greenstones and greenstone schists belonging to the Kaczawa metamorphic complex. On the slopes, especially in the southern part of the massif, these form small rock outcrops. The summit is broad and flattened, with ridges running off it in several directions.
On the top of Poręba stands a weather radar belonging to the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management. The former German name of the summit was Gross Hau or Grosshau.
Close by are Niesytno Castle and the Józkowa Góra viewpoint, as well as the neighbouring summit Krąglak.
