A landscape park covering the Ślęża and Radunia massifs, with a network of hiking, cycling and educational trails.
The Ślęża Landscape Park covers the Ślęża and Radunia massifs, the Oleszna and Kiełczyn Hills ranges, and Jańska Góra, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. It was created to protect the natural and landscape environment of the Ślęża massif as well as its cultural and historical values, and lies within six municipalities: Dzierżoniów, Jordanów, Łagiewniki, Sobótka, Marcinowice and Świdnica.
The central point of the park is Mount Ślęża, next to which rises Radunia. The Oleszna and Kiełczyn Hills ranges also belong to the park.
Five main hiking trails run through the park. The black trail circles Mount Ślęża, the red trail runs from the railway station in Sobótka through Mount Ślęża and Sulistrowice to Łagiewniki. The blue trail runs from Strzeblów through Sobótka-Górka, Mount Ślęża and the Tąpadła Pass to Radunia and Jordanów Śląski, the green trail from Strzelce Świdnickie through the Tąpadła Pass and Książnica Śląska to Krzczonów, and the yellow trail from the station in Sobótka through Mount Ślęża and the Tąpadła Pass to Książnica Śląska.
The park also has three archaeological trails, including one to the archaeological reserve in Będkowice, five long-distance trails linking the park with neighbouring regions, and three educational paths covering archaeological-historical, natural-geographical and natural themes, as well as cycling routes.
Forests cover about 5,500 hectares, or 67 per cent of the park's area, while farmland dominates in its buffer zone. Forestry management within the park is handled by the Miękinia Forest District. The flora includes a considerable number of legally protected plants, some fully and some partially protected, and the fauna resembles that found in the Sudetes, with rare molluscs, birds of prey and bats.
From Mount Ślęża it is not far to the neighbouring elevation of Wieżyca.
In Sobótka itself the Stanisław Dunajewski Ślęża Museum operates.
