A bridge with a timber deck connecting Wyspa Słodowa with Wyspa Bielarska in Wrocław, built in 1992 over former mill channels.
St Clare's Bridge is a small crossing with a timber deck connecting Wyspa Słodowa with Wyspa Bielarska. It runs over the Klara Sluice, a water channel that is part of the Piaskowy Weir, and is one of those bridges of inner-city Wrocław that are easier to pass than to notice, even though it conceals a trace of former mills.
The current bridge structure dates from 1992, and in 2001 it was renovated together with the working channels of the mills. The bridge rests on steel I-beams, and its two spans of differing length are thrown over the channels of two working races of the now non-existent St Clare's Mills, separated by a brick pier. The deck surface, balustrade and handrail are made of timber.
The bridge's total span, counted as the sum of both spans, is 20.6 metres, and its width is 6.8 metres, of which the roadway itself accounts for 3.4 metres, and the footways on either side for 0.65 and 1 metre.
