An 18th-century Baroque palace in Stanowice near Strzegom, a former seat of the von Richthofen family.
Stanowice Palace is a historic residence in the Strzegom municipality, at ul. Strzegomska 50, entered on the heritage register together with the surrounding park.
The building was erected as a Baroque structure in the 18th century. It is part of a larger palace complex, which also includes a park and an outbuilding. The palace has one storey, is built on a rectangular plan, and is covered with a hipped mansard roof with dormer windows. At the front is a first-floor balcony, supported on four columns, and the portico bears the coat of arms cartouche of the von Richthofen family.
In 1856 the estate was bought by Captain Bolko Baron von Richthofen (1821-1899), from Rogoźnica. Around 1872 he also bought the estate at Stanowice Dolne and merged it into one property. It was under the von Richthofen family that the palace gained its present, expanded shape.
The palace is listed on the heritage register under number A/4713/732/WŁ (entered in 1979), and the park beside it under number A/4714/1363/WŁ (entered in 1992).
Nearby, in Strzegom itself, are the Basilica of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul and the Museum of Railways in Silesia. A little further on stands the Pastuchów Tower, another historic monument of the region.
