A bridge over the Outflow Canal connecting Strachocin and Swojczyce, rebuilt three times since 1917, in its current form since 2017.
Strachocin Bridge crosses the Outflow Canal (Kanał Odpływowy) in the eastern part of Wrocław, connecting the Strachocin and Swojczyce estates along Swojczycka and Strachocińska streets, which carry voivodeship road no. 455.
The original bridge was built in 1917 as a three-span structure, with girders in the form of riveted steel plate girders. The bridge was destroyed in 1945, and in the same year it was rebuilt as a temporary two-span timber crossing. In this form the bridge served until 1966.
The 1966 structure used the concrete abutments and piers preserved from the original bridge, and the reinforced concrete deck slab rested on prestressed concrete beams with a span of 13.7 metres. The bridge was 42.5 metres long and 10 metres wide, including a 7.5-metre-wide carriageway and two footways, one of them wide enough for a single person. This bridge was demolished in 2015.
The bridge opened in 2017 is a four-span reinforced concrete structure over 96 metres long, founded on piles 100 centimetres in diameter and 8 to 13 metres long. To the south runs a parallel railway bridge of line no. 292, and to the north, along the canal, a road bridge on Ludowa Street.
A few kilometres towards the centre lie Szczytnicki Park and Centennial Hall, and closer to the Oder, Tumski Bridge and Market Square.
