Palace from the 18th century with a park from the 19th century in the village of Sulisławice in the Świdnica municipality, Świdnica County.
Sulisławice Palace stands in the village of Sulisławice in the Świdnica municipality, in Świdnica County, in Lower Silesia. The historic building dates from the 18th century and, together with the surrounding park, forms a palace complex listed in the heritage register on 8 November 1980 under park number A/4744/763/WŁ.
The palace was built on the site of an earlier moated castle. The castle itself no longer exists in its original form - only a ruin remains of that building, and the present palace was erected next to it or on its site in the 18th century.
The residence is surrounded by a park laid out in the second half of the 19th century, a hundred years after the palace building itself. The park falls under the same heritage register entry as the building.
Sources do not state the current condition of the palace itself or who owns it - it is only known that the earlier moated castle, on whose site the palace stands, remains in ruins. Before visiting, it is worth checking accessibility on site, as the building is not officially open to visitors.
Sulisławice lies a few kilometres from Świdnica, where it is worth seeing the UNESCO-listed Church of Peace in Świdnica and the Cathedral of St Stanislaus and St Wenceslaus. Also nearby is the Museum of Railways in Silesia, and in the centre of Świdnica the Museum of Old Trade in Świdnica.
